Farewell to Chad Oyer,

Director of Student and Young Adult Ministries

Following worship services on Sunday, June 22, Jarvis Memorial will bid farewell to Chad Oyer, our much-loved Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, with a reception in the Taft Christian Life Center. Chad began his ministry at  Jarvis in April 2005. Highlights of his ministry here have included continued growth in one of Greenville’s most successful youth ministry outreach programs, numerous mission opportunities for youth, and a major leadership role in the development of our contemporary praise and worship service.  “I will always give

thanks for God’s calling and your inviting me to join you in ministry,” Chad writes.  “Jarvis Memorial’s immediate acceptance and constant loving support for our family has nurtured and will always reside in our hearts as an affirmation of God’s goodness.

We are truly blessed to have been members of the Jarvis family.”

Chad and his family will be moving back to his native Midwest where he has accepted the position of Director of Student & Young Adults Ministries at First United Methodist Church in Birmingham, MI.
