Worship leader Alison Ponzi joined the staff of Jarvis Memorial UMC in January 2008. After earning a bachelors degree in music performance from the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, CT and a masters degree in music from East Carolina University, Alison became increasingly involved in church worship ministry. Although still active as a classical flutist and teacher, Alison is convinced that God’s calling on her life is to use music “to lead people in authentic, passionate, and exuberant worship of their Creator and Savior.”
In her spare time, Alison can usually be found spending time with her daughter Elizabeth, a student at Eppes Middle School. They enjoy camping and hiking, soccer and basketball games, and playing with their two dogs.
