Calling all children! Come to the "BEACH PARTY". This year's Vacation Bible School (VBS) will offer children an extraordinary fun-filled, exciting, and creative Bible-based program. Surfers will discover the importance of being all they can be for Jesus and developing five Be-Attitudes to practice for a lifetime: be obedient, be kind, be forgiving, be bold and believe in Jesus”.
The schedule for each day will begin with dinner served in the Flex Space from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Then all Surfers will gather for the Opening of Bible School at 5:50. A variety of activities appropriate to each age level will be offered between 6:05 and 7:45. Children will be grouped according to age: "Sea Squirts", 3’s, 4’s, Kindergarten and 1st grade; "Soul Surfers", 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. Activity Centers will include:
- Crafts
- Story time
- Recreation
- Discovery Time
- and Music/Mission
At 7:45 each evening, all the children will gather once again for "Closing Assembly". (Bible School workers, CLICK HERE for room assignments!)
We need lots of helpers to make this week spectacular for the kids.
Recruiting has begun, so call Patty Marr at 757-1883 to sign up to help.
The "Beach Party" curriculum is intended for children age three and older. However, a special class will be held for 2 year olds whose parents are helping with VBS. They will meet in room 214. Again, this class is ONLY being offered for those 2 year olds whose parents are helping with VBS.
Dress: We are using the “color of the day” theme this year. Everyone will wear the same color shirts; a different color everyday. Sunday is orange, Monday is red, Tuesday is blue, Wednesday is green, Thursday is yellow. We would like these to be bright colors.
Mission Project: We would like to collect school supplies for our local children. Our offering collected during the week will go to purchase school uniforms.
