Our new Director of Student Ministries, Lennie Furlough, began his duties at Jarvis Memorial on September 15. 2009. Lennie was born in Puerto Rico, but has lived in North Carolina since he was three months old. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and found his passion for youth ministry while working with Young Life as a volunteer. In addition to youth work, Lennie is president of his family's construction business, Furlough Builders, Inc., in Fuquay Varina. "However," he writes, "since July 2007 on my Walk to Emmaus", I have felt the Lord's call to explore the opportunity to work in youth ministry full time." It is our prayer that working with our own Jarvis youth will give Lennie that opportunity he feels called to. He and his wife Danielle have four children: Trey (10), Joshua (7), Nathaniel (5), and Elizabeth (3).
