Jarvis Prayer Commission

Prayer is central to the Christian walk.  Jarvis Memorial believes fully in and is committed to the power of prayer: personal prayer and devotion, corporate prayer, and intercessory prayer.  The Prayer Commission serves our church with a prayer ministry that encourages, undergirds, supports and blesses all the individual areas and people of our church family.

Members of the congregation are regularly encouraged to submit prayer requests.  These are read and prayers offered up weekly, both by the full Jarvis staff and members of the commission who  gather twice a week specifically for this purpose.  In addition, our church maintains a very active prayer chain.

In addition, the Prayer Commission sponsors an annual "Prayer Retreat" which is open to all church members wishing to attend.
