As the old song says, "We are the church, together!" Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church depends on many, many committed and generous volunteers to keep its programs going. Be assured, if you have a desire to serve and servant spirit, we can place you in an area where help is needed!
Some current needs are listed below. If a particular item interests you, click on the link provided to find out more!
Ushers
Jarvis Memorial has three worship services each Sunday morning and ushers are needed at all three. Ushers are often the "face of Jarvis" to visitors. It is an important opportunity to serve, providing a hearty welcome and a bulletin to visitors, taking up the weekly offering, and in general helping where needed. Special "usher training" is always available to new volunteers.
NEW THIS YEAR! We are hoping to have Sundays when couples, youth, Sunday School classes or fellowship groups take on the responsability for ushering. Talk it up with your spouse, your class, and your friends!

Every Sunday, our Chancel is beautified with flowers. This is not a budgeted expense at Jarvis Memorial. Over the years, we have been fortunate to have flowers provided for most Sundays by church members, often wishing to honor or memorialize a love one. In addition, flowers are sometimes purchased for a memorial service or wedding and the family generously offers them for use in worship that same weekend.
If you would like to help us continue the tradition of beautiful flowers in the Chancel each Sunday, we want to hear from you. We are looking for people who have passion for "flower arranging", people who have flowers in their gardens they are willing to share, and, yes, people who would just like to help by giving to the "flower fund".
