Come and worship with us any Sunday at

Jarvis Memorial United Methodist Church!

The Jarvis family gathers to worship in our historic sanctuary each Sunday at 8:15 and 11:00 a.m. The 8:15 worship service is less formal with more singing. It is designed especially for early risers.  Both sanctuary services have organ and choral music and the singing of beloved traditional hymns and anthems.  The 11:00 a.m. service is typically the most highly attended and features full processional, choral responses, and large choir.

CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP

Started in 2002, our contemporary worship service is held in the gymnasium of the Taft Christian Life Center (adjacent to the sanctuary).  Music is led by our Jarvis Praise and Worship Band and features the congregational singing of popular contemporary Christian music.

FIFTH SUNDAY AND ALL-CHURCH FESTIVAL WORSHIP SERVICES

On those months with a fifth Sunday, the entire Jarvis church family comes together to worship in a single service of worship at 11:00 a.m.  Special music and often outside speakers or other activities of special interest are planned for these services.  It's always a memorable time to worship at Jarvis Memorial.

ALSO!!  TUESDAY "COMMUNION AT NOON"

Each Tuesday from September through May, Holy Communion is celebrated in the Chapel which is directly next to the main Sanctuary.  These services are informal, meditative, and convenient for those coming from work on their lunch hour.  They include hymn singing and a brief homily by the officiating pastor.
